Documentation audits provide a review of chart documentation compared to coding guidelines.
Not only can this alert you to potential problems with your payers but this can find revenue that may have been missed. We recommend a baseline, or random audit reviewing all types of services offered by the practice to start. Typically, a review of 10-20 charts per provider is recommended. Once your audit is complete, written feedback will include suggested areas for improvement for providers and coders that is specific to your practice needs. If you have already identified a problem area and would like a problem-focused audit this is available as well. Pricing for all audit services are per chart and is determined by the scope of the audit. Use the contact us page to get in touch and schedule a time to discuss the specifics of your auditing needs. Performance MonitoringWe will help you determine what key performance indicators need tracked and create tools for monitoring.
Providers monitor patients for key indicators that a problem is stable, worsening or improving - and that's what key performance indicators (KPI's) will do for the practice - monitor its health. These analytics will help you see a problem before it's a problem and help your staff take necessary actions to resolve issues quickly. |
Workflow assessment is a review of current practices, how they affect revenue and suggestions for optimization.
Although it's worked in the past, it doesn't mean it's still the most effective way to run your practice today. Healthcare plans have moved a large responsibility of costs to the patient. Denials come through if pre-authorizations aren't obtained when necessary. Scheduling and billing software should be reviewed for efficiency and used to their full capacity to meet the needs of your practice and your bottom line.
